Columbia

University
offers a wonderful curriculum for practically every subject known to man. Another great aspect of

Columbia
is their wide array of clubs and organizations. Whatever sport or interest that you are into, they have a club for you to join. Sports, of course, are plentiful at

Columbia University. The Columbia Lions football team is a Division I-AA team, and was the third in the nation to join in intercollegiate games. There is also a wrestling team, which is the oldest college team in the

United States
. Other sports include archery, cross country, and fencing. Former students of

Columbia
, and former sports stars as well, include Lou Gehrig and Sid Luckman, to name just a few.

Don’t worry, if sports are not your thing, there are many other organizations and clubs to keep you socializing. The Games Club, for instance, was established simply for people who enjoy playing all sorts of games. If you like board games, games of strategy, or any other type of game, you can join the Games Club, and play to your heart’s content each Friday evening. The Games Club has been organized for over 25 years, and still has many members who simply get together to play games.Believe it or not, there is actually even an Anime club. For those of you who love Japanese animation or comics, the Anime club is a wonderful place to share your interests and talents with others who do the same. They show all sorts of animation, and have even covered Family Guy in their shows, as well as French cinema. Other organizations include music interest clubs.

Columbia University has a wonderful Music Theater Society, as well as an Orchestra and a good number of choir and dance clubs. Uptown Vocals, for instance, is an A Cappella group that performs concerts and other shows. The Metrotones are another A Cappella group that is only for females. This group performs shows and concerts all over New York, and even out of

New York
.
There are also science clubs, debate clubs, political clubs, and just about any other club or organization that you can think of.

Columbia University is filled with clubs and activities that you can join to spend time with other students who share your interests.
Whether you are musically inclined, athletic, or just like to hang out with others and play games all night, there is something at

Columbia University that will cater to your individual interests.
