In order to play, you must have the latest version of Shockwave Player. This player is downloadable from the site if you don’t already have it. There is no cost involved to play, and nothing to join. It is simply a free game that lets you play with friends, like other Games Club members. The graphics are great, and there is no annoying sound while you play. The only sound is the music on the title screen, and of course, the sound effects from the fighting that you are doing. The controls are easy to manipulate, and instructions are included on the front page, and also on a help menu if you need additional instructions. The game is fun and easy to learn. The player vs. player vs. environment aspect is a little tricky, but by playing with other Games Club members, they can help you to figure it out in no time. Also, there is no penalty for dying, so if someone kills your character, you can go on with your game. Sherwood Dungeon is only one of the many games that the Columbia University Games Club enjoys.
